What we do
Are you an aspiring solicitor qualifying through the SQE route?
In addition to passing the SQE assessments, you must complete two years of Qualifying Work Experience (QWE). This experience must be confirmed to the SRA by a solicitor qualified in England and Wales.
In some cases, your employer may be unable to confirm your QWE. When that happens, an independent external solicitor can review and confirm your experience.

What does this include?

A free initial 30 minute consultation to check eligibility

Review of QWE evidence (including a review of the submitted workplace evidence; this may be on paper or we can arrange a virtual meeting).

Obtaining feedback from your workplace supervisor (this is a regulatory requirement)

Obtaining employer confirmation of QWE time (this is a regulatory requirement).

Story
Owner of ClearQWE, Abigail Pluskota
I am a qualified (non practicing) Solicitor of England and Wales with over 15 years’ experience across private practice and in-house legal roles.
My career has given me a broad perspective on the legal profession, from practising law to understanding the challenges faced by those entering and progressing within it.
More recently, I moved into legal education, where I support aspiring solicitors undertaking legal apprenticeships and navigating their route to qualification.
Working closely with aspiring solicitors highlighted an important gap in the changing qualification landscape.
As routes to qualification have broadened, including the introduction of the SQE and greater flexibility around qualifying work experience (QWE), I saw that many aspiring solicitors needed independent support and verification of their experience. In particular, not all employers are in a position to provide the level of qualified oversight or verification that candidates may need.
That insight led me to establish ClearQWE; my aim is to make the route to qualification clearer, more accessible and less daunting for aspiring solicitors, while helping them understand how their experience can contribute towards becoming a qualified solicitor.
I am passionate about legal education, professional development and widening access to the legal profession. I bring together my experience as a practising solicitor, legal educator and founder to help the next generation of solicitors navigate qualification with greater confidence and clarity.
